The lyrics of the song originally sung by Zahida Parveen were re-written by Shafqat Amanat Ali to suit his composition for his second album ‘Kyun Dooriyan’.He has performed it in Coke Studio India.

MUMBAI – “I had recorded a whole cassette of songs and poetry to give to my first crush. I thought, instead of saying it traditionally, I should say it musically and in a literary fashion (girls like such stuff, I believe).
I then sent it to her through a common friend waiting in anticipation for her response. The friend came back five minutes later saying she didn’t take it!
