Music Review of PBN’s Album “Me Myself & Music”

PBN told about his album, said that

‘The industry isn’t big, and I would love to collaborate with people who are doing something positive within the music industry. I hate controversy; I tend to keep away from it, cos there’s enough of it already. I’ve signed up a new girl who’s gonna be launched next year, I can’t wait because 78% of this industry is male dominated and we need that balance.’

Quote of the Day

Twenty years ago, electric guitars were hard to find in India. Owning one was considered an act of defiance. Learning to play it was open rebellion. To be a musician was to play the classical stuff – think tabla, sitar, flute and sarangi – which dominated public performances. Faraz Haider – Andher (KM Album Review)

Only after the release of a video packed with astounding effects and a brand new album named Andher, a solo artist named Faraz Haider has been stealing some of the spotlight.

Faraz Haider began to take interest in music from as early as 13, heavily influenced from artists like Michael Jackson. The older Faraz now takes inspiration from the likes of David Coverdale (of Deep Purple fame), the lead singer of Soundgarden Chris Cornell, and Guns N’ Roses.

Some people say he is the “Chris Cornell of Pakistan”. A few months before the release of the album, a spectacular video teaser was released from Pakistan’s leading music blogs and websites. After an 18-second tease, people began to anticipate the release of the video. The video is packed with energy and a powerful mood, especially as the band seem to battle the forces of Hell surrounding them. Luckily, the album begins with the very song “Andher”, the heaviest song in the album. The power of the song however, is better with the video. Continue Reading →

Yuvvraaj MP3 Songs Download And Music Review

Subhash Ghai is one guy who knows how important music is for a Bollywood movie. He makes a good effort to ensure quality to the last bit. His soundtracks sell better than his films sometimes. Remember Taal? A.R Rahman’s music topped the charts for a really long time and the film blew up at the box office. Subhash Ghai is back with another flick titled Yuvvraaj. The film stars Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor and Zayed Khan in lead roles. The music has been composed by A.R Rahman and the lyrics have been penned down by Gulzar. A typical Subhash Ghai menu. Yuvvraaj is slated for a November release. The music is finally out so let’s check it out!

The opening track Main Hoon Yuvraj basically works as a prologue to the following track and is designed as a dialogue monologue in Salman Khan’s trademark anglicized accent.

After group performances in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na and Golmaal Returns , Benny Dayal gets his first lead playback song with Tu Meri Dost Hai . The song opens with an eloquent alaap which forms the base tune of the track. Expect it to catch up as a ringtone soon and win major mobile downloads.

Tu Muskura relies strongly on Alka Yagnik’s soulful singing and has minimal musical arrangements with an unadorned yet effective tune. Shano Shano is an instantly infectious disco dance number where you identify Sonu Nigam’s vocals amongst the horde of six other wide-range singers.

Gulzar is at his usual best with his choice of unusual words and their phonetic tweaking in Mastam Mastam. Sonu Nigam does an immaculate attempt at mouthing the tongue-twisters and Alka Yagnik, too, is decent enough.

Dil Ka Rishta
is seemingly conceived as a climax opera act comprising the three leads Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan and Zayed Khan who play brothers in the film. Heavy on orchestration, the song has Sonu Nigam taking the lead with able support by Roopkumar Rathod. A R Rahman chips in for the more demanding classical rendition.

Manmohini Morey has chaste classical singing on a contemporary backdrop by Vijay Prakash, in the likes of maestros akin to Ustad Sultaan Khan. This small piece is a gem for connoisseurs of classical music. Zindagi is a sad number about looking life in retrospect but doesn’t get outright depressing. Srinivas goes mellow on singing this comparatively conventional number from the album.

Kaash Mere Hote Songs Download And Music Review

“Mera Mann Kyun Tumhe Chaahee…” (MANN -1999) brought the promising musical duo of Sanjeev Darshan in filmdom. The magic was out there but consistency was missing in their following melodic works. After a hiatus of almost half a decade, the duo fights back their way out in the low profile entertainer, KAASHH MERE HOTE, with the musical feel that best reflects out the glowing charms and prowess of their mentor’s (Nadeem Shravan) style of music. Will KAASHH MERE HOTE be turning the tables and creating forum for this struggling musical duo? Will the resurrection of 90′s magical musical charm be working bliss for them? Let’s take a deep introspection into it!

“Teri Naganee”, an ethnically Punjabi song with loud “bhangra” beat bangs and deliriously rocking arrangements. The “masti” gets energized with hi-voltage DJ mixing as the feverish “club” remixing grooves rules the floor with thumping impacts.

Sanjeev-Darshan pick up new vocalist Shashank Singh Baba to be youthful “chosen” voice for their comeback album and expectedly the singer gets a major chunk of the lot with solo track “Mehbooba”. Shashank Singh Baba makes another romantic solo maneuver in “Teri Yaad” that comes with a slightly better sounding composition. Sanjeev-Darshan makes topsy-turvy moves with varying shades of percussions and electronic beat sounds that grow infectiously in its narrative flows.

It’s time for some soothing melody and the mood gets somber with impressive sounding title track “Kaashh Mere Hote”. Shweta Pandit’s penetrative voice in lower subtle tones leaves out an impression that gets accentuated with pleasing classical westernized orchestrations. Sanjeev-Darshan’s music solemnizes the supple romantic feel of “Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai” (HAMARA DIL AAPKE PAAS HAI) with soothing flute notes in its preludes.

Sanjeev-Darshan make efforts in brining out 90′s Bollywood charms by picking up contemporary Nadeem-Shravan’s peculiar style of composing in “Rim Jhim Sawan”. It brings back Shashank Singh Baba with sweet sounding Shweta Pandit in softer romantic tones. Sameer’s worthwhile wordings would have been bliss in early 90′s but now phraseology sounds outdated with music that is more akin to lure 90′s listeners.
